You will serve as a Information Technology Specialist in the Digital Innovation & Culture Division of NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND.
Duties
You will develop, design, and implement advanced data visualization dashboards using tools to transform raw data into actionable insights.
You will provide hands-on training and mentoring to decentralized teams on best practices in data visualization, ensuring consistency and accuracy in data representation across the organization.
You will craft and execute communication strategies to promote data-driven decision-making and the importance of robust data management practices across all departments.
You will engage internal stakeholders through presentations, workshops, and one-on-one sessions, showcasing the potential benefits of new AI and ML applications.
You will work closely with IT, business intelligence, and data analytics teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of data visualization solutions.
You will maintain detailed documentation on data visualization designs, guidelines, and best practices, ensuring easy onboarding for new team members.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Information Technology level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
Qualifications
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05/11) or pay band (NH-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following: (1) Developing, designing, and implementing advanced data visualization dashboards to transform raw data into actionable insights; (2) Crafting and executing communication strategies to promote data-driven decision-making and the importance of robust data management practices across all departments; (3) Maintaining detailed documentation on data visualization designs, guidelines, and best practices; and (4) Working closely with IT, business intelligence, and data analytics teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of data visualization solutions.
