You will serve as a MARINE MACHINERY MECHANIC SUPERVISOR in the COMBAT SYSTEMS PRODUCT FAMILIY DIVISION of SOUTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER.

Duties

You will perform duties as a subject matter expert of organized intermediate maintenance teams with the responsibility to perform various repairs, replacement and functional checks upon completion. You will make determinations as to priorities, deadlines, task sequencing depending on factors such as available manpower skills, equipment, environmental conditions, etc. You will resolve complex problems in a stressful environment with quality results to meet required operational commitments which includes knowledge of advanced intermediate level repairs in accordance with approved technical standards and procedures. You will supervise work to include, installation, troubleshooting, modifying, and repairs on various mechanical weapons systems and components. You will enforce command safety programs and oversee procedures during work and will generate reports to senior leadership on progress.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
