Duties
Interfaces with HQDA USSOCOM and USASOC to correlate resourcing and readiness indicators to capability assessments.
Formulates and integrates policy and planning for special forces for the U.S. Army Special Operations Command.
Conducts research and analysis of readiness policies and programs.
Advises the staff on aspects of planning, policy, operations, readiness, as related to ARSOF military plans and operations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance.
- This position requires a Drug Test.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) planning, tracking and reporting of all operational requirements and training resource management 2) experience with managing current Special Operations Forces (SOF) training to develop or enhance operational readiness of SOF units and projects/recommend future training resource management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
