About the Position: Serves as a Program Officer for various ACAT I, II and/or III programs within the Project/Product Managers (PM) Office

Duties

Coordinates and develops procedures relating to financial management, acquisition, implementation, distribution, and logistical support for the hardware, software, supplies, and services required by the project. Identifies and balances risks, selects alternatives and plans how to best accomplish the goals and objectives of the project within recognized guidelines. Identifies unfunded requirements. Projects major project milestones and events necessary to complete the strategic implementation of the acquisition project. Perform contract administration by conducting contractor programs reviews, approving data items, waivers/deviations, and engineering change proposals Briefs senior level management, OSD and DA on status of the assigned programs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level Advanced Level in the Acquisition Career Field Program Management within 48 months of entrance on duty.
  • This position is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP)/Key Leadership position. Selectee must execute a written tenure agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years.
