Duties
Reviews and analyzes the most complex situations and/or conditions encompassing the widest spectrum of documents, reports, policies, and procedures involving the one or more financial systems or subsystems.
Communicates the organization?s mission, vision, and values to the team and ensures they are integrated into team goals, objectives, work plans, products and services.
Distributes team assignments among team members in accordance with workflow, skill level and specialization.
Monitors and reports on the status and progress of work, checks work in progress and upon completion for quality, adherence to instructions and to ensure objectives are met.
Designs, adapts, revises, and evaluates financial reports, procedures, and operations encompassing multiple financial management/accounting systems and all DoD component activities.
Serves as an expert in financial management procedures and policy compliance in the development and implementation of major operating policy and procedural changes.
Reviews a variety of incoming, outgoing, and summary financial reports to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of financial operations and financial reports submitted operating from operating activities.

- Please note, this is NOT a 100% virtual/remote position where work may be performed from any location in the US. This position is eligible for local telework near the duty station of the position, subject to management review and approval.
Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-12) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized Experience is defined as: Experience conducting financial reviews; analyzing and evaluating financial reports; making recommendations to improve financial operations; leading and participating in projects, and coordinating complex work assignments.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher grade in Federal Service.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

Education is not substitutable for specialized experience at this grade level.
