You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the TRAVEL BRANCH of COMMANDER US FLEET FORCES COMMAND.

Duties

You will perform studies or assist others with full scale studies. You will assist in the performance of functions such as: formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities; review and evaluate budget requests control and reporting of obligations and expenditures. You will research guides to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information and prepare summaries for use by managers. You will perform a variety of other fiscal, accounting or financial management duties and responsibilities. You will develop, determine and interpret budgetary policies and practices.

Qualifications

To qualify for the FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST, GS-0501-09, your resume must demonstrate at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing knowledge in the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and the Financial Management Regulations (FMR) to process and certify DTS travel vouchers. Experience communicating travel policies and procedures clearly and concisely across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership. Experience preparing encumbrance documents in the Command Financial Management System (CFMS). Experience serving as the Activity Program Coordinator (APC) for the Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) utilizing CitiBank EAS and Visa INTELLILINK. Experience anticipating and being proactive with improving GTCC processes and customer satisfaction. Experience running and interpreting reports from the Standard Accounting and Budgetary System (SABRS) and the SABRS Management Analysis Retrieval System (SMARTS) to monitor daily ledger balances. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
