In this position you will serve in the Wing Cybersecurity Office and be the point of contact for cybersecurity policies for all of Eglin AFB. You will be responsible for performing assessments and inspections on each unit at Eglin AFB and ensuring they are complying.

Serves as a senior Eglin AFB Information Assurance Administrator.
Serves as a Network Security Program advisor.
Troubleshoots complex security problems and provides advice and support in a manner that minimizes interruptions in the customer's ability to carry out business activities
Serves as senior technical advisor to management.
Manage the privileged user program, ensuring all users with elevated access have the need to know, training, signed agreements, and certifications required
Manage the COMPUSEC program which includes performing assessments and inspections on all units in the Eglin AOR
Manage the base Cybersecurity Liaison (CL) program which includes updating and providing the mandatory training for all the CLs, providing cybersecurity support, policy, and answers to questions in regard to cybersecurity
Manage the DLP program ensuring unit's waiver submissions are accurate, signed appropriately, and submitted to the HBSS office for implementation. Perform annual DLP renewal for Eglin, gathering all unit submissions together
Manage the privileged user program, ensuring all users with elevated access have the need to know, training, signed agreements, and certifications required and are added to the appropriate tools, distribution groups, and Teams channels as needed
Manage the commercial internet and cable tv services for Eglin, keeping records updated with what each unit has, working work orders for modifications, removals, and additions to services, and ensuring units are compliant with DoD/AF policies for commercial services
Manage the TEMPEST program ensuring units comply, packages are accurate and submitted on time to the AF CTTA. Will require a TDY to Keesler to get TEMPEST certified if not already.

- Incumbent must be eligible fur a-TS or TS/SCI security clearance {Spedal Compartmented Information).

- 2 years of Information Technology/system administration experience
- Information Assurance (IA) Certification may be a condition of employment, may include information assurance duties as a paramount occupational requirement. Failure to achieve the required IA certification may result in reassignment from position.
- This position has been designated as an Non-Critical Acquisition Position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP).
- The employee may be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, and /or emergency overtime.
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 30 days per year.
- Security+ certification desired
- This position MAY be eligible for a recruitment/relocation incentive. Specifics will be discussed with the Selecting Official
- 2 years of experience implementing and enforcing DoD and/or AF cybersecurity policies
- 2 years of experience performing cybersecurity audits/inspections to ensure compliance
- 1 year of experience developing TEMPEST packages, ensuring accuracy and AFSSI 7700 policies were implemented.
- 8570 Certified IAM level I
- Recall to duty may be a requirement of this position
- Per DoD 8570.01-M, the incumbent of this position must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties
- A waiver of this six month requirement may be granted per DoD 8501.01-M, C3.2.4.2 or C3.2.4.3. Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in removal from this position.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions of Information Technology (IT) Management Series positions located here
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next the next lower grade GS-11 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience includes performing data analysis reviews of computer systems, providing operational status of computer system resources and information systems, identifying computer system malfunctions and installing corrections, programming various computer systems, and providing recommendations to leadership to improve computer system operations.
Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate
I. Knowledge of a full range of IT principles, concepts, practices, products and services (including systems software, database software immediate access storage technology, and methods to develop and coordinate security policies and standards
2. Knowledge of IT security requirements for certification and accreditation network operations and protocols systems testing and evaluation, and performance management methods sufficient to plan and ensure standards are met for security accreditation reviews for installed systems or networks and asses and advise or new or revised security measures and countermeasures based on the results or accreditation reviews.
3. Knowledge of Local Area Network security requirements and techniques for protecting computer systems from virues1 data 1tampcring, and unauthorized system entry
4. Knowledge of a broad range concepts and principles, operating modes, systems, media, equipment, equipment configuration, and related software systems, processes and procedures to assess and advise on risks and vulnerability from a variety of sources ( e.g., espionage, disruption of services, destructive programs/applications) and procedures and methods for protection of systems and applications.
5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
6. Ability to plan and develop training on IT security requirements, standards, procedures, and tools and products
