You will serve as a TRAVEL SUPPORT COORDINATOR (OA) in the PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT of MARFORCOM NORFOLK.

Duties

You will provide trouble shooting, document, and profile assistance for travelers within the command. You will retrieves reports from the Defense Travel Systems websites. You will ensure authorizing officials have completed Travel Policies training via the DTMO website. You will review and audit travel vouchers and authorizations for accuracy and proper split disbursement of reimbursables. You will research regulations, and guidance, interfaces directly with internal customers and potential customers to serves as the source of information regarding Defense Travel Systems. You will ensure GTCC cardholders are properly pulled into the commands hierarchy. You will brief the Travel Manager on daily basis of delinquent accounts and current status of corrective action. You will perform duties for permanent TAD/Deployment entitlements for military personnel and civilians.

Requirements

  • You must possess and maintain a current valid United States drivers license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card with travel and purchase authority.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing a variety of services concerning the Defense Travel System (DTS) in travel management administrative support, preparing reports and documents, maintaining various computer filing systems and providing information concerning DTS.
