The Digital Communications Branch is a part of the FAA Office of Human Resource Management (AHR), Accountability & Strategic Business Mgmt. Directorate (AHA), Strategic Communications Division (SCD). The Branch Manager reports to the SCD Director and supervises a staff consisting of three or more employees. The Manager is responsible for overseeing AHR’s digital communications, including internet and intranet management, AHR SharePoint site, Section 508 compliance, and AHR forms.
Duties
The Manager oversees the work of the Branch, which includes programs that impact FAA employees, applicants for employment, and the public. The work includes complex projects/programs based on the objectives of the organization and the FAA. The Manager performs the full range of supervisory duties, including recruiting and hiring Branch employees; assigning work tasks/projects; mentoring staff, preparing performance standards and evaluating performance; holding employees accountable for conduct; identifying employee professional developmental needs; and administering/approving leave and other policies.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-I, FG/GS-13 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
