Duties
Responsible for managing the operational schedule and day-to-day and long? range calendars of the Director.
Research and coordinate with staff to depict executive level travel, major events, social activities, and speeches.
Provide technical oversight of administrative products for the subordinate directorates' action officers and administrative assistants.
Develop procedures and guidelines to supplement established administrative regulations and protocol policies and procedures.
Manages multi-tiered administrative functions that require not only administrative but operational knowledge of several functional areas.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level.
- This position may require a one year probationary period.

Specialized experience for the position Executive Assistant in the Federal service that involves; 1. Providing administrative support on all matters relative to the coordination, integration, and synchronization of staff actions, events, and activities within the organization. 2. Performing as the organizational Travel Administrator, providing travel system training, and verifying policies and procedures are followed. 3. Communicating orally and in writing with customers inside and outside the organization, to include preparing correspondence, briefings, and enlisted evaluation rating reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

C. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position if the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
