This announcement will be used to fill one position with Civilian Pay in one of the following duty locations: Cleveland, OH or Indianapolis, IN. Actual duty location will be decided at time of selection.
Duties
The incumbent is responsible for project oversight (to include workload, requirements, timetables, and expertise) of larger scale reviews, systems changes, testing and implementation.
Reviews operational capabilities and provides comments and recommendations for proposed changes, coordinating with peers throughout the directorate to determine the best method for accomplishing the system change.
Oversees the testing of system changes and monitors the implementation of enhancements or new products.
Balances workload by making adjustments to ensure full team participation, desired results are achieved and timely accomplishment of the work based on supervisor's instructions.

- Time after Competitive Appointment: Candidates must have served 3 months after latest competitive appointment in the Federal service.

- Please note, this is NOT a 100% virtual/remote position where work may be performed from any location in the US. This position is eligible for local telework near the duty station of the position, subject to management review and approval.
Qualifications
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher grade in Federal Service.
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-12) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized Experience is defined as applying financial management methods, practices, and principles in planning and implementing process improvements relative to large-scale accounting and financial systems; planning and scheduling work tasks in coordination of overall civilian pay mission project timelines and deliverables; and performing studies on current and future information and data management systems.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
