This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent will be responsible for leading and directing the planning, development, coordination, execution, evaluation of all assigned Joint training exercises throughout the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC).
Duties
As a SUPERVISORY TRAINING AND EXERCISE ANALYST at the GS-0301-15 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Supervises and directs all aspects of requirements for support of highest priority/complexity CCMD training and exercises as the essential part of the Joint Training Exercise and Evaluation Program.
Provides daily leadership in setting goals, objectives, and expected performance levels commensurate with the organization's strategic plan.
Identifies and integrates solutions to key issues affecting the organization's ability to provide comprehensive support.
Promotes quality through effective use of the organization's performance management system (e. g., establishing performance standards then evaluating accomplishments using developed standards) and acts to reward, counsel, or remove employees as appropriate.
Prepares and submits a budget for attending professional conferences, and training for the branch members.
Responsible for the supervision and management of all exercise military and civilian staff and contractor support within JExD.
Perform as the Contract Task Order Technical Assistant for all contracting effort supporting Joint Exercises.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-15 grade level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service:
Facilitating training, schedules, and supervising civilian, military and contractor personnel
Leading joint exercises support and coordinating with senior leaders to provide trained interoperable joint forces
Possessing solid working knowledge of the planning, programming, and budgeting system (PPBS)
Directing all aspects of the Joint Training System including joint training, exercises, doctrine, and operations
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
