About the Position: This is a Project Manager, GS-0301-12 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Northwestern Division (NWD), Omaha District, Planning, Programs, & Project Management Division.

Duties

Assures the overall management, control, coordination and contract execution of assigned projects. Coordinates project planning, budget and contract execution, for environmental compliance/environmental restoration projects of varying scope and complexity. Controls and manages project milestones and budgets from planning through project closeout. Keeps the sponsor/customer fully informed of project progress, issues and their resolution, and any impacts on cost.

  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Financial ManagementOral CommunicationProject Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
