These positions are in the Bargaining Unit with National Treasury Employees Union, Chapter 208.

Duties
Incumbent serves as a Emergency Response Assistant in the Division of Reactor Safety, responsible for administrative support to the Region II emergency response center for specific incident response and emergency planning and additional provides operator licensing administrative support to Operating Licensing processes. Assists with the implementation and coordination of activities to establish and maintain administrative and logistical support necessary for response to any Region II incident involving licensed nuclear facilities, materials, or transportation. Provides administrative assistance in the review, distribution, and record keeping for operator licensing processes including license renewals, license terminations, and license medial conditions.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Ability to support diverse administrative functions associated with multiple programs such as operator licensing and incident response programs.
Knowledge of regulations and rules associated with an operator licensing program and an emergency response program sufficient to be able to administratively support implementation of these programs and be able to perform a variety of administrative functions and use the various computer-based programs that are used to process licensing actions.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, and ability to interact tactfully, efficiently and professionally with all levels of personnel.
Ability to use large, comprehensive automated document management systems, comprehensive database systems, and various software programs to accomplish work assignments.
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in handling multiple assignments and competing priorities, often under considerable pressure to meet deadlines.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as: experience which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform a wide range of licensing and administrative duties such as those described above.
