You will serve as a Training Instructor in the Basic Electronics Course Training Unit (BECTU) of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.
Duties
You will use approved materials and methods, the employee prepares for and present formal classroom and laboratory instruction on theory and application of basic mathematics, electricity and electronics.
You will instruct less-experienced instructors in the various aspects of the formal training environment, lending assistance where appropriate.
You will prepare for and present formal classroom and laboratory instruction on subject matter taught in the Technician Theory Course.
You will review course materials for effectiveness, technical accuracy and compliance with current directives and methodologies, and recommend changes through the appropriate channels.
You will prepare and submit required training-related documents.
You will counsel students on academic matters and recommend disposition of students experiencing academic or personal problems.
You will communicate orally and in writing to maximize the training and reporting process.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector teaching the principles of basic and advanced electronics theory to function in the formal training environment; specialized knowledge to include the principles of algebra, Boolean algebra, digital logic, and truth tables.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
