About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, INTEL Support Activity DCS, G-2 INFO Management Directorate.This position is open to applicant within the local commuting area of Washington D.C.

Duties

Serve as an Information Technology Staff Officer in the Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA), Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff (ODCS), G-2, DAMI-IM in the United States Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). Participate in pre-acquisition activities and influences key decision forums, policy and guidance. Utilize initiative and ingenuity in interpreting acquisition, intelligence, security, and information technology policies issued by Executive Orders, Department of Defense (DoD), Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and Army. Conduct in-depth data analysis of available precedents, alternatives, and regulatory guidance to ensure proper, timely, and authoritative response.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 10% or less of the time.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
