You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMNT SPECIALIST of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE.
Duties
You will be responsible for identifying, initiating, and coordinating procurement orders for all planned and emergent material requirements necessary to support maintenance projects.
You will be responsible for tracking and expediting material shipments from initial Point of Embarkation (POE) to Consignee (ultimate destination).
You will be responsible for reviewing a variety of maintenance reports, plans availability schedules and contract specifications and evaluating their content for material demand and impact on material support.
You will recommend alternative procurement options and material substitutions that would meet planned or emergent maintenance schedules.
You will be responsible to work with Project Managers, Class Team Lead and Ship Building- Supervisor (SBS) to ensure all required documents for materials or services are properly prepared for submission to FLCJ contraction officer via Pro Track.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following; 1) Utilizing knowledge of broad range of NAVSUP policies, procedures, methods, techniques, regulations, programs, and system requirements; 2) Understanding specific areas of knowledge including Uniform Material Movement and Issue Priority System (UMMIPS), Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures (MILSTRIP), Simplified Acquisition program, Government Purchase Card Program, and distribution and transportation; 3) Managing logistic systems in support of maintenance operations, pans and programs in order to integrate functional applications and resolve system problems; 4) Maintaining maintenance operations, Coordinated Shipboard Allowance Lost (COSAL), Supply Material, & Recoverability (SM&R) codes, acquisition advise codes, repair parts support; 5) Utilizing various automated data processing (ADP) databases and system for determining material availability, procurement, tracking, expediting, and performing technical research; 6) Communication effectively with both government and non-government agencies orally and in writing; 7) Working effectively in both a team and independent capacity and environment.

Education
Education Substitution for Experience at the GS-11 Level:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
OR possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR have completed 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.
OR possess an LL.M., if related
OR a combination of graduate education and experience as described above that equates to one year of experience.
