About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Project Scheduler building, analyzing and monitoring a wide variety of project schedules
throughout the Pittsburgh District. This position is with the United States Army Corps of Engineers in Pittsburgh, PA.
Duties
Manage overall application of the project scheduling through Primavera P6 (PROMIS) systems in District including establishing policies
procedures for project schedule architecture, and ensuring all projects are correctly entered in the system.
Lead the District's development of an overall plan of action to for project schedules ensure a uniformity of management processes, data
handling, and reporting for District programs including completing studies to establish new business processes.
Serve in an advisory capacity to the Project Review Board (PRB) regarding analytical and technical decisions on project and business processes
by analyzing project information in the District portfolio.
Serve as the District's lead PROMIS scheduler including creating and maintaining standard schedule templates and assisting other team
members in creating and maintaining project schedules.
Provide expertise on more advanced scheduling techniques such as use of budget forecasting to manage resource utilization, and creation and
analysis of a project schedule though use of multiple schedules "what if" scenarios.
Serve as Districts technical lead on PROMIS operations and system support such as resolving problems by diagnosing and correcting errors in
system software, application/integration programs, and business logic.
Evaluate areas where confusion exists in regard to the PROMIS system, develops necessary guidance, and conducts formal and/or informal
training within the District.
Serve as Districts primary point-of-contact for PROMIS with higher headquarters and other Corps locations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Building and maintaining complex project schedules in project management network analysis software (2) analyzing project schedules to identify more efficient ways to monitor and manage projects (3) helping others implement and understand project scheduling and monitoring tools and (4) receiving complex organizational policy and procedure guidance and implementing that guidance in project management network analysis software. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
