Responsible for the financial management, administration and accountability, quality and effectiveness of direct services provided and program management of services which include: Army Family Team Building (AFTB), Army Family Action Plan (AFAP), Mobilization, Deployment and Stability Support Operations (MDSSO), Soldier and Family Readiness Group (SFRG) Training and Unit Service Coordinator (USC) duties.

Duties

Establish and maintain systems to solicit and encourage volunteer support. Ensure that subordinate program managers publish comprehensive standard operation procedures outlining program services and that such procedures are coordinated with other elements that have interfacing responsibilities and interests. Conduct comprehensive community needs assessment on an annual basis to identify family support program requirements of the community. Analyze prevention data to formulate recommendations for program improvement and provision of evidence based services. . Initiate and executes administrative policies and procedures needed to access, review and report on the status of all Family Enrichment Programs Evaluate the effectiveness of operations supervised in terms of mission accomplishment, quality and quantity standards, procedural, policy and regulatory compliance, and technical competence. Develop and implement a marketing plan to increase awareness of programs. Deliver informational and awareness briefings to local commanders and visiting dignitaries to communicate program goals and achievements. Provide guidance to subordinate program managers concerning development of preventive education programming and its service delivery, program budgets and accreditation standard milestones.

Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in behavioral or social science, or related disciplines appropriate to the position, such as . behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR B. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR C. Experience: Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Demonstrated experience 1;)Conducting needs assessments for organizations to identify and implement family service and support programs, 2;) Developing a network of contacts to ensure effective marketing of family and community programs, 3;)Briefing Senior official to communicate program status and accomplishments, and 4;) Reviewing policies and regulations to ensure program compliance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11) Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Managing Human ResourcesOral CommunicationPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
