You will serve as an Electrician Supervisor I in the Production Resources Department of PSNS and IMF.

Duties

You will inspect work in progress and upon completion to maintain quality assurance, conformance to specifications, efficient work progress, housekeeping, and safe operations. You will recommend and help plan facilities, equipment, and procedural changes to improve safety, reduce costs, and meet new work requirements. You will supervise employees in installation, repair, and maintenance of various electrical systems. You will plan work schedules, manpower, skill, and material requirements. You will conduct employee training on a wide range of technical requirements, steps and processes. You will select and assign work to subordinates and instruct them on procedures, specifications, priorities, and schedules.

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
