About the Position: The incumbent performs the full range of receptionist, recordkeeping and miscellaneous clerical duties within the ambulatory setting. Completes request forms, manually or automated, for individual patient orders, blood work and other requests.

Duties
Maintains and monitors patient appointment schedules for the clinic/practice.
Coordinates and/or schedules patient appointments with other clinics or specialties.
Monitors and manages the Army Medicine Secure Messaging System (AMSMS) at the clinic/practice level.
Monitors and communicates delays in scheduled appointments to the appropriate staff and patients.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position may require the incumbent to obtain and maintain a certification in Community Basic Life Support (BLS).
- This position may require the incumbent to work weekends, call duties, and evenings.
- This position may require periodic immunization and tuberculosis monitoring.
- This is an inclement weather essential position; the incumbent is expected to make every attempt to report for duty on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.
- This position may require physical examination.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
- This may be a rotating position.
Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Performing receptionist, recordkeeping, and miscellaneous clerical
duties in an office setting; 2) Utilizing an automated appointment system to schedule patient appointments; and 3) Utilizing software applications to retrieve data and/or prepare correspondence or reports.
OR
Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120.
