About the Position: Serves as the S-4 Logistics Division Chief of a Recruiting Brigade (BDE) for the U.S. Army Recruiting Command. The division is responsible for determining requirements for supplies, equipment and various services for the BDE HQs, recruiting battalions, and subordinate units located in a multi-state area.
Duties
Act as logistics advisor to brigade command group.
Plan actions concerning new construction, acquisition, renovation, design, upkeep, and lease specifications of real estate.
As S-4 Division Chief, incumbent directs daily operations of 2 civilian subordinates (GS-11 and GS-09 or equivalent).
Serve as BDE representative at meetings of Intra and Inter-Service Recruiting Committees.
Develop and implement the logistics portion of BDE-wide energy conservation program.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing, coordinating, and maintaining an organizational logistics program; writing, interpreting, and developing instructions to implement organization and agency regulations, policies, and procedures; assigning work and determining priorities, establishing acceptable levels of performance, reviewing, and evaluating performance, providing on-the-job training, and arranging for formal training. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
