This position is located in the Division of Resolutions and Receiverships of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of researching, reviewing, analyzing, and reporting on highly complex financial transactions from financial institution failures. Additional selections may be made from this vacancy announcement to fill identical vacancies that occur subsequent to this announcement.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.  Additional qualifications information can be found here. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 13 level or above in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is defined as experience in 1) banking and financial institution accounting, 2) reviewing regulatory reporting and auditing financial statements utilizing automated financial data systems 3) using accounting, financial and market data to conduct analysis related to accounting system improvements, data management, paperless migration, or systems development for improving workflow efficiencies related to financial data systems.
