This position is located in the Division of Resolutions and Receiverships, Business Operations Support Branch of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of key financial program areas and highly complex financial transactions from financial institution failures.

Duties
Assesses reconciliations and coordinates financial and accounting matters related to cash management, assets and liabilities, and general ledger operations.
Oversees the application and coordinates financial and accounting matters related to cash receipts and disbursements for receiverships and subsidiaries ensuring the completeness, accuracy, validity and timeliness in cash activities of operating bank accounts.
Monitors accounts retained, opened, and/or closed at the time a financial institution fails and accounts discovered or opened during the life of the Receivership. Ensures only the appropriate individuals are signatories on accounts.
Provides interpretations from complex analytical report reviews related to cash management, financial activities and accounting information requested by Corporation officials, the courts, and other government agencies.
Conducts complex analysis associated with work assignments such as cash management system improvements, data management, paperless migration, systems development for improving workflow efficiencies.
Facilitates information by sharing financial and procedural information between functional areas and other divisions to ensure seamless flow of communication and timely and effective problem resolution affecting Corporate operations.
Provides technical advice and guidance on correspondence by responding to internal and external inquiries related to cash management, financial and accounting program areas.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 12 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing accounting operations for reconciliation of financial institutions data 1) including general ledger and cash management operations, cash receipts and disbursements; and 2) coordinating matters related to financial accounting for asset disposition and sales.
