Duties
Build, maintain, query and analyze recruiting databases.
Support numerous long and short-term special projects.
Use advance mathematical, statistical and other scientific methods and techniques.
Serve as a professional Operations Research Analyst.
Requirements

In order to qualify, you must meet the education AND experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Requirements:
Degree in Operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. (Transcripts are required).
In additional to basic requirement, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
Specialized experience: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience at the next lower grade in the Federal service which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: includes work that involves the use of theories, principles and practices common to mathematics, statistics, and system analysis and other operations research techniques to solve complex problems with extensive variables and complex relationships. Experience in demonstrating the proficient use of a wide range of operations research analytical methods and techniques to include study design, data modeling, and testing to recommend those suitable for producing explicit findings and discriminating evaluations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the GS-11 grade level.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
