The selectee of this position serves as a Financial Management Analyst responsible for coordinating financial processes, approving transactions, overseeing financial systems, analyzing financial processes, operations, and controls, evaluating program effectiveness, and providing expert guidance.
This position is located in the Asset Forfeiture Division / Arlington, Virginia.
Duties
As a Financial Management Analyst at the GS-0501-12/13 grade level, some of your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Planning, coordinating, and performing a broad range of financial management functions for assigned program area in the Asset Forfeiture Division.
Performing as a high level technical or subject matter expert in the analysis of financial management processes and operations.
Analyzing and evaluating, on a quantitative or qualitative basis, the effectiveness of financial management programs, systems, and operations in meeting established goals and objectives.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the education and/or experience required for the grade level(s) to which you apply.
To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, you must meet the following:
Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:
Using directed methods of qualitative and quantitative analysis to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of business and financial practices;
Coordinating a select range of financial management functions for an assigned project or program area. (e.g., budget, finance, accounting.);
Using automated financial systems to execute transactions, enter data, and generate reports;
Monitoring the progress of corrective action plans to resolve audit findings; AND
Drafting narrative responses or reports to address audit findings, provide technical advice, and/or justify budget elements.
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, you must meet the following:
Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:
Choosing appropriate methods of qualitative and quantitative analysis to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of business and financial practices;
Coordinating a broad range of financial management functions for an assigned program area. (e.g., budget, finance, accounting.);
Using automated financial systems to approve transactions, enter data, and generate reports;
Monitoring the progress of corrective action plans to effectively strengthen weaknesses and close gaps in found in internal controls; AND
Drafting narrative responses or reports to address audit findings, provide technical advice, and/or justify budgets requests.
