You will serve as a Human Resources Assistant (Military) in the Selection Board Eligibility Branch (PERS-802) of Navy Personnel Command.
Duties
You will display personnel data in a human resources information system.
You will respond to requests for information regarding data in personnel records.
You will respond to customer inquiries by researching human resources rules or regulations.
You will prepare correspondence based on research of human resources regulations, guides, and precedents.
You will review, update and verify information in military personnel records and systems related to officer promotions, enlisted advancements and selection boards.
You will respond to inquiries and provide customer service to military personnel and external organizations related officer promotions, enlisted advancements and selections boards.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using DoD and DoN directives and policies to assist with responses to inquiries regarding military promotions/advancement; 2) Conducting research to provide technical and administrative assistance to promotion/selection/advancement boards; 3) Preparing correspondence/briefs/advisory opinions/emails to provide advice to military members/supervisors/managers/leadership and other officials; 4) Gathering information and summarizing results to make informed recommendations to resolve problems; and 5) Using military human resource information systems to conduct research and collect information
