Performs a combination of routine and multiple and varying assignments as a Supply Technician under the limited direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced employee in providing storage, receipt, distribution, inspection and control of supplies and products on behalf of the Receiving and Inspection Branch.
Duties
Performs routine, multiple and varying material coordination duties in support of special programs, depot-level maintenance, and repair shops. Responsible for ensuring assets are identified correctly, by condition and type of item, and processed into the Warehouse Management System. Applies experience and advanced knowledge to plan and accomplish tasks. Has a broad understanding of how administrative assignments contribute to the activities of the branch. Typical assignments may include: coordinating processing requirements and inventory requirements with inventory management staff; inspecting material shipments; compiling, tracking, and analyzing data; maintaining supply system records; confirms asset data matches in IFS/WMS and processing receipts; receiving, validating, and distributing materials through automated warehouse management systems; and performing phases of property management. Demonstrates considerable independence in planning time, and coordinates only as needed with a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced staff to discuss tasks and priorities. Creates GIAI numbers, barcoding of assets, and re-branding of assets as necessary. Conducts research utilizing a variety of catalogs, information systems to obtain or correct stock numbers.
