You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Mine Warfare Program Office (PMS 495) (ACAT II) of PEO UNMANNED AND SMALL COMBATANTS.

Duties

You will serve as a logistician within Program Executive Office (PEO) Unmanned and Small Combatants (USC). You will plan, coordinate, and/or evaluate the product support actions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, or other designated program. You will utilize predictive analysis and modeling tools to define and/or improve product support. You will develop and implement product support strategies integrating the separate functions of design to cost, Product Support analyses, maintenance planning, provisioning, sustainment, and modernization to meet operational availability thresholds. You will conduct in depth cost benefit analyses, business case analysis, trade-off studies, and analysis of alternatives performed prior to each change in the product support strategy or every five years, whichever occurs first. You will review and brief recommendations, and conclusions developed by the team which affect long-range program performance and strategies. You will participate in management meetings as an authoritative representative of the assigned programs within area of responsibility.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NH-02 (GS-11 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support the maintenance or modernization of DoD Systems.
