About the Position: The incumbent performs the full range of receptionist, recordkeeping, and miscellaneous clerical duties within the Winn Army Community Hospital, Fort Stewart, Georgia.

Duties
Explains/informs patients of their right to obtain Advance Medical Directives (AMDs) and assists them in the procedures to complete AMDs to ensure it is filed in their treatment records.
Investigates and reports suspected fraud cases to the Treasury Office, who in-turn report the case to CID.
Coordinate with local Civilian Facilities to ensure accurate accountability of transferred patients and/or beneficiaries received.
Coordinates with the closest MTF to facilitate transportation back into military control when/or if feasible, depending upon what is in the best interest of the patient.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Employee is required to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
- Applicants tentatively selected for appointment to this position will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations.
- You must undergo a specific initial background checks, investigation and periodic re-verification check of multiple agency records to obtain and maintain a suitable determination to occupy a position having regular contact with children.
- This position may require business travel up to 5%.

- This position requires that you obtain and maintain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing clerical and administrative support functions such as record keeping, answering telephone calls, receiving patients, and/or scheduling patient appointments within an inpatient or outpatient clinic or medical treatment facility (MTF); providing basic medical information to patients, medical staff, and the general public; and utilizing automated office, healthcare, and/or scheduling systems to enter and retrieve data.

Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
