Duties
Serves as a senior financial specialist in the Metrics and Initiatives Office (M and IO).
Manages performance measurements for the directorate through a variety of specialists and support staff.
Assists and coordinates preparation of the agency's monthly Office of the Under Secretary of Defense Financial Management Metrics and the Deputy Director for Operations Balance Scorecard briefing packet.
Ensure the accuracy of the data, analyzes and examines the OUSD Financial Metrics on a monthly basis.
Identifies trends in performance statistics each month, and requests explanations from operational areas based on these trends.
Makes recommendations for improving Balanced Score Cards and ensures that the interests of Operations are well represented.
Assist as needed for PersPay council reporting, and data reporting for MyMetrics and DDO dashboard reporting.

- Please note, this is NOT a 100% virtual/remote position where work may be performed from any location in the US. This position is eligible for local telework near the duty station of the position, subject to management review and approval.
Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized Experience is defined as performing extensive financial management analysis and evaluation of automated financial systems, governing policies, business procedures, and regulations to ensure the continuity of a financial organization's core operations.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in Federal Service.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
