You will serve as a Human Resources Assistant (MIL) in the Distribution Management & Procedures Branch (PERS-451) of NMPC.
Duties
You will maintain data (e.g., personnel reports, recruitment tracking) in a human resources information system.
You will perform clerical support (e.g., typing, filing, data entry) for a human resources office.
You will research information using a human resources information system (e.g., Defense Civilian Personnel Data System [DCPDS] or similar system) to answer customer questions.
You will safeguard personnel records and communications (e.g., Personally Identifiable Information [PII], Privacy Act, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act [HIPAA]) to protect program integrity.
You will administer policy, instruction, and procedures pertaining to filing in official personnel records.
You will respond to customer inquiries by researching human resources rules or regulations.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Processing military separation and Permanent Change of Station (PCS) documents; 2) Responding to customer inquiries to provide guidance or assistance; 3) Preparing Navy documents and correspondence for release by the designated authority; 4) Updating data using personnel support system databases; and 5) Researching military Human Resources (HR) rules and regulations to verify military records.
