This position is located at Departmental Offices, Terrorism and Financial Intelligence-Terrorist Financing. As a Program Analyst, you will provide research, analytical and related expertise to the Executive office on any aspect of the Department of the Treasury Asset Forfeiture program.
Duties
As a Program Analyst, you will:
- Analyze forfeiture policies relating to equity requirements, official use of forfeited property, mitigation remission guidelines, equitable sharing criteria and any ot1ter topics which have multi-agency ramifications for sufficiency, consistency and compliance with Presidential and Departmental policy.
- Monitor, evaluate, and oversee agency progress against program plans and advise Executive office management of emerging concerns.
- Review existing and proposed legislation and regulations regarding the asset forfeiture program and provide analysis or formal critiques of the effect of such legislation and regulations on program policies, standards and procedures.
- Conduct research and gather information from other Treasury agencies to develop procedures for identifying and reconciling disputes or conflicts affecting the Asset Forfeiture program.
- Implement and monitor compliance with internal controls relating to the Department's asset forfeiture program.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience for the GS-14: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes ALL the following:
- Assisting in program planning and process improvement or as part of a project management team. Examples of this may include but are not limited to participating in the planning or coordination of problem solving studies, working with asset forfeiture program strategies or forfeiture policies; AND
- Utilizing organizational and business management strategies or processes to make recommendations on resolutions based on departmental policies and objectives or existing and proposed legislation and regulations; AND
- Participating in teams to assist with conducting research or data collection to develop procedures and reconcile disputes.
Time in Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
