About the Position: This position will be at the NCO Academy I Corps Office of the Commandant at JBLM, WA.
Duties
Maintain property accountability for all nonexpendable property and functional maintenance of all sub-hand receipts, within an automated supply system, utilizing an automated supply system such as the Global Combat Support System manual procedures.
Assist in conducting a 100% physical inventory on Sub hand Receipt Holders, hand receipt semi-annually. Verifies property book records against the inventory records for accuracy
Determine causes of inventory discrepancies by conducting extensive research of all property book documents such as hand receipts, change documents, automated computer reports, purchase orders, turn-ins and lateral transfers.
Resolve discrepancies or problems with sub hand receipt holder or other responsible officer, by obtaining facts and circumstances containing loss or damage to property and prepares proper adjustment documents, such as, Statement of Charges.
Prepare sub hand receipt holder briefing packets for new hand receipt holders. Prepares appropriate hand receipt documents, in accordance with governing regulations and issues equipment to authorized responsible person(s).
Receive all incoming shipments that are direct delivered; verifies items received against shipping documents and signs for receipt after counting and identifying.

- This position has a requirement to lift up to 50?lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes maintaining perpetual inventory records (property book) of non-expendable property for the organization serviced; investigating and reconciling routine and recurring supply discrepancies such as receipt control and inventory adjustments.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-6 or above.
