About the Position: This position is with the U.S Army Sustainment Command, 404TH Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Supply and Service Division, located in JBLM, WA.

Duties

Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and conduct regular audits. Manage the storage of supplies, ensuring items are stored in appropriate conditions. Coordinate the distribution of supplies to various departments or units, ensuring timely delivery. Maintain supply catalogs, ensuring all items are correctly identified and/or categorized. Manage the utilization of property and/or supplies, ensuring efficient use and minimizing waste. Maintain supply identification systems, both automated and manual. Serve as the primary contact for units requesting supplies or services, providing assistance and resolving issues as needed.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
