About the Position: As the Supply Technician, serves as the logistics point of contact for the Directorate of Personnel and Family Readiness (DPFR) at Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA.
Duties
Maintain and account for Directorate property at fourteen facilities, provides guidance, and perform duties connected with requisition, receipt, storage, accountability, and issue of equipment and supplies.
Update and maintain master hand receipts, issues equipment, and supplies to hand receipt holders, orders parts, and turns-in excess and un-serviceable equipment.
Perform periodic inventories of unit properties and reconciles problems in the automated supply accounting system. Responsible for stock record keeping of receipt, distribution, and issue of material.
Prepare and submit appropriate documentation to the Installation Property Book Officer at Directorate of Logistics Readiness Center (DLRC) for all equipment.
Review purchase, vouchers, and compares with the monthly billing statements to ensure that follow-up actions are initiated with backorders/reorders.
Work with the budget officer with funds monitoring to ensure conformity and achievement of maximum balance.
Provide technical and administrative direction to the supervisor for procurement actions.
Requirements

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing and coordinating item requisitions for purchase; developing and tracking supply inventory across multiple locations; reviewing purchase vouchers; and maintaining hand receipts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-06 or above.
