You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCE ASSISTANT (MILITARY) in the Administrative Services Diminsion of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.

Duties

You will be responsible for processing military pay and personnel actions for personnel assigned to the command. You will facilitate permanent change of stations (PCS) orders for military personnel transferring, process temporary active duty (TAD) orders for personnel authorized for house hunting, job hunting, and career transitions. You will maintain records in accordance to Records Management policy and guidance.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing Human Resource automated systems and office automation systems to include (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access); Experience processing pay and personnel actions, transfers, separations, retirements, travel and leave management request; and Experience maintaining filing systems (e.g., working records, forms, databases); and answering routine inquiries regarding personnel records and files. In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE
FOR GS-05: SUCCESSFUL completion of four year course study above high school, or you have a combination of education and experience that equates to one year of experience.

COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements.
