You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (RECRUITMENT & PLACEMENT/OA) in the Code 50 of OCHR STENNIS OPERATIONS CENTER.
Duties
You will enter payroll data into human resources information systems (e.g., Total Workforce Management System [TWMS], Defense Civilian Personnel Data System [DCPDS], or similar system.
You will process pay actions using a human resource automated system.
You will collaborate with human resource professionals in other organizations to ensure personnel actions are processed timely.
You will review Requests for Personnel Action (RPAs) received from serviced organizations for accuracy, completeness, or missing documents.
You will code information into a database to maintain records and track information.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialize experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: .1) Processing various types of personnel actions in an automated system; 2) Using automated systems to extract data for reports; 3) Using Guide to Processing Personnel actions (GPPA) to verify coding of actions; and 4) providing written communication to customers on the status of personnel action processing. NOTE: This experience must be fully supported by your resume.
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
