About the Position: Conducts aptitude and qualification examinations at the MEPS and Military Entrance Test (MET) sites for applicants of the Armed Services. Tests include the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). Briefs applicants, distributes and proctors examinations, scores exams, performs quality control of exams and applicant information. Performs data entry of results and information into the USMEPCOM Integrated Reporting System (USMIRS).
Duties
Conduct aptitude and qualification examinations at the MEPS and Military Entrance Test (MET) sites for the applicants of the various Armed Services.
Operate a variety of office automation equipment including personal computers, facsimile machines, scanners, digital copiers, Personal Digital Assistants (PDA), and industrial shredders.
Adhere to strict mailing and shipping procedures to ensure accountability of controlled test material.
Provide 100% security and accountability of all accountable test material when conducting test sessions.
Requirements
- Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- This position may require shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level, which includes performing clerical or office work such as answering telephones, greeting visitors, handling sensitive material, filing and operating office equipment. This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).

Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major study in electrical or electronic engineering, mathematics, physics, public utilities, statistics, computer science, telecommunications management, information systems management, business administration, industrial management, or other fields related to the position to be filled.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages.
