The Engineering Directorate at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) is seeking candidates to serve as a Management Analyst across their organizations. You will collect, analyze, and transform data into actionable insights, utilizing innovative visualization techniques to convey complex information effectively. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform strategic initiatives, optimize resource allocation, and drive operational excellence.

Duties

Duties described below are at the full-performance level. Duties assigned at a lower grade level will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee. Develops the directorate's communication plan. Partners with directorate leadership to determine and develop appropriate content for directorate website and ensures content is up to date. Coordinates and schedules high-level meetings and briefings, maintain and, as necessary, develop selected reports to assist senior level staff with the management of tasks and projects. Coordinates collaborative research, development, and technology transfer activities to ensure the best utilization of money, human resources, and facilities and maximize the Government's return on investment. Produces new strategies to meet organizational goals and improve overall efficiency. Develops and maintains the directorate's strategic calendar to support proactive Agency and Center submissions in connection with known data calls and other key events. Identifies and develops data required for use in the strategic management and direction of engineering resources. Analyzes data sources to identify program needs and shared alignment with enterprise goals. Partners with other organizations both internal and external to Directorate as required to maximize the value of Office services and products. Reports on analytical findings. Reviews and conducts data analysis of various documents (reports, studies, surveys, etc.) and present findings and recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level: Collecting data and providing trend analyses to solve operational and strategical challenges while communicating and collaborating with leadership; Contributing to the planning, developing, maintaining, and/or managing reports for the organization; Supporting in the strategic assessments, planning reviews, and compiling data reports to management for administrative or technical program(s) practices and work processes. To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level: Performing data reviews, conducting studies and/or historical trend analyses to solve operational and strategical challenges and partner with leadership; Reviewing, planning, and managing reports associated to projects for the organization; Participating in the strategic assessments planning and providing recommendations for administrative or technical program(s) practices and work processes.
