You will serve as the Associate Chief Information Officer (ACIO) at Johnson Space Center (JSC), responsible for implementing and reinforcing the information technology (IT) and data management policies and procedures established by the Agency Chief Information Officer (CIO),and provide IT leadership in understanding customer and stakeholder requirements at the Center.
Duties
Participates in workforce planning and hiring activities to address skills imbalances and succession needs that ensure well qualified candidates are hired, developed, and promoted.
Manages personnel actions including selection panel coordination, construction, and candidate evaluation, as appropriate.
Aligns with the Johnson Space Center CIO management vision, philosophies and organizational identity, maintaining a healthy organizational culture (coordination of all vision, mission, values, and branding (patch/logo) efforts).
Promotes and ensures a diverse, inclusive, and innovative work environment for the organization.
Establishes operating standards, processes, procedures, guidance, and governance to enable successful operations, service delivery and data-driven decision-making.
Communicates and engages with Johnson Space Center (JSC) community through various forums and methods of engagement and communication.
Monitors team performance, recommends promotions, recognition, and corrective actions as appropriate. Encourages, endorses, and coordinates individual employee development.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
Building coalitions internally and with other Federal agencies and private sector organizations, foreign governments, or international organizations to achieve spaceflight operations and mission support;
Leading an information technology services organization in the delivery of a broad array of products and services to customers in an efficient way, including the development, implementation, and execution of cohesive IT strategic and tactical plans;
Implementing relevant laws (e.g., Clinger-Cohen Act, Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA), etc.), executive orders, and policies governing information technology, cybersecurity, and management.
AND
IF you are qualifying based on experience, you MUST also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:
