Duties
You will coordinate the timing and sequence of program planning, resourcing, scheduling, and related tests to ensure compliance with predetermined
specifications.
You will make frequent adjustments to production schedules and prepare justifications for additional funding of unplanned work.
You will be responsible for preproduction planning phase and the immediate production control for the main propulsion motor programs.
You will provide an independent review and surveillance of motor module testing for the U.S. Navy and evaluate test documents.
You will initiate, coordinate and control phases associated with the construction, alteration, modernization and repair of submarines, ship work, the manufacture and repair of special equipment, and experimental projects.
You will be required to participate in a qualification program prior to being assigned as a Joint Test Group (JTG) Representative.
You will review and evaluate technical data and test information as a member of the Joint Test Group (JTG) to verify accuracy and compliance with applicable specifications.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: "Overseeing
design, construction, test, and logistic support efforts for submarines."
