This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, Library Buildings and Grounds, Assistant Superintendent, Facilities Operations Division, Maintenance Branch, Fire Electronics Section. The Electronics Mechanic is involved in constructing, repairing, adjusting, connecting, troubleshooting and maintaining a diversity of very complex state of the art systems employed in comprehensive Fire/Safety and Support essential for the protection of life and property in all Library Buildings.
Duties
TOUR OF DUTY: Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 pm to 5:30 am.

For WG-11:
Journey-level skills and trade knowledge of fire protection system applications and vendor products, normally acquired by completion of electronic mechanic training either in an accredited civilian institution or in connection with military occupational training, and/or specialized experience. Has the knowledge and experience to perform most duties of the job independently and without assistance.
For WG-12:
Clear journey-level skills and trade knowledge of fire protection system applications and vendor products, normally acquired by completion of electronic mechanic training either in an accredited civilian institution or in connection with military occupational training, and/or specialized experience. Has the knowledge and experience to perform the duties of the job independently and without assistance.
