Duties
Conducts a variety of complex assignments in the review and analysis of Wounded Warrior pay management.
Gathers and analyzes information on field site Wounded Warrior pay teams to include timeliness and accuracy of account maintenance, resource availability, training requirements, and areas of potential risk.
Studies directives and agency strategies and effectively applies a knowledge of functions, processes, and established principles of military pay programs of the organization to recommend improvements and resolutions to problems.
Advises Wounded Warrior Pay Office leadership on the proper course of action to take in complicated situations involving wounded warrior pay issues.
Provides military pay assistance regarding pay processes, systems, accuracy of pay records, and use of management products to facilitate product improvement.
Prepares and conducts presentations. Researches and compiles data, prepares charts, narratives, and graphics for formal and informal presentations.

- Time after Competitive Appointment: Candidates must have served 3 months after latest competitive appointment in the Federal service.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-07 if applying at the GS-09 level, and GS-09 if applying at the GS-11 level) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
If applying at the GS-09 level, specialized experience is defined as performing financial management data analysis, creating recommendations for financial operations improvements, and customer support for an automated payroll system.
If applying at the GS-11 level specialized experience is defined as performing financial entitlement analysis and support for a large-scale finance and accounting organization and possesses knowledge of financial management principles as they relate to automated pay systems processing and operations.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-07 or higher grade in Federal Service if applying at the GS-09 level, or 52 weeks as a GS-09 level or higher grade in Federal Service if applying at the GS-11 level.

Education
GS-9 Substitution of Education for Experience: Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education, Master's or equivalent graduate degree, may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
