You will serve as an Intelligence Specialist in the Information Warfare Directorate of COMNAVSPECWARDEVGRU.
All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
Serves as an Intelligence Specialist (Counterintelligence) and performs assigned tasks in support of the Commands mission.
Employs/utilizes Counterintelligence (CI) tactics, techniques and procedures in support of special activities as they relate to Naval Special Warfare operations.
Provides oversight, assessment, and recommendations to support plans, policies, procedures and concept development related to CI operations/activities in support of Command or agency requirements.
Conducts liaison with Department of Navy, Department of Defense and other US Government inter-agency partners.
Plans, develops and coordinates/deconflicts operations/activities, to support the integration of inter-agency partners and the conduct of joint operations/activities in support of command/agency requirements.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.

- This position may require a 2-year probationary period.
- This position requires periodic polygraph examination.
- May require a work week outside of the standard Monday - Friday.
- This position requires a successful physical examination.
- This position requires the ability to swim.
- Incumbent may be authorized to carry a weapon as required and must therefore be qualified with the weapon.
- This position is covered under the Lautenberg Amendment of the Gun Control Act of 1968, due to the requirement to carry a weapon.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Employing/utilizing Counterintelligence (CI) tactics, techniques and procedures in support of special activities as they relate to Naval Special Warfare or special operations; 2) Providing oversight, assessment, and recommendations to support plans, policies, procedures and concept development related to CI operations/activities in support of Command or agency requirements; 3) Conducting liaison with Department of Navy, Department of Defense and other US Government inter-agency partners; and, 4) Planning, developing and coordinating/deconflicting operations/activities, to support the integration of inter-agency partners and the conduct of joint operations/activities in support of command/agency requirements.
