You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Command Operations Group of NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND.

Duties

You will apply accepted management practices, techniques, and methods to assigned problems/reviews. You will gather, assemble, and analyze facts and recommend solutions to problems. You will be responsible for the control of the purchase of items ordered. You will receive incoming verbal and written correspondence, determine the nature of communication and route appropriately for action. You will review and process command travel authorizations requests. You will maintain office calendars and schedule meetings/conferences and the rooms or facilities to support them. You will compose letters, memoranda and forwarding endorsements on letters of the command.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-1 (GS-1-4) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating experience managing financial, contract or manpower workload; 2) Reviewing items such as travel requests and purchase orders; 3) Managing office calendars and coordinating meetings/conference schedules; and 4) Exhibiting strong organization, communication and writing skills.
