You will manage the Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate (ESDMD) stakeholder engagement strategic communications portfolio. This position will have an impact on broad agency wide programs and functions related to the ESDMD to include Artemis and Mars exploration efforts. You will develop strategies for communication alignment with the agency's Office of Communication messaging, the Agency Strategic Goals and the Strategic Plan.

Duties

Responsible for program/project management, oversight, integration, and day-to-day management of the ESDMD Strategic Engagements and Outreach budget and requirements for communications products. Ensures support and products in planning and preparation for the enterprise Associate Administrators/Deputy Associate Administrators strategic engagement, outreach and education events. Serves as point of contact to the Office of Communications (OCOMM) integrating ESDMD programs and projects with the agency OCOMM requirements and messaging and near and long-term plans, including budgeting for ESDMD-specific events and support. Provides integration with ESDMD programs and offices for collaboration, coordination and leadership to ensure cohesive agency communications plans, messaging, and support. Collaborates with the Office of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Engagement and external partners. Works in partnership with the ESDMD Business Office to participate in the Programming, Budgeting and Execution formulation process. Identifies and executes planning to improve the mission directorates strategic engagements implementation and to ensure alignment for effectiveness and efficiency of those engagements across the directorate and improves operations.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level leading, planning and executing strategic communications plans including development of comprehensive communications products and large scale internal, external and public outreach and engagement events and activities; overseeing a communications team that produces communications and outreach products for a large technical organization; and overseeing budget planning and processes including recommendations to optimize performance.
