This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Serves as an Exercise and Operations Specialist for the 53.
Duties
Serve as the unit Knowledge Manager, works closely with the unit information technology section (G6) to coordinate the set up and access to available knowledge managements systems including Microsoft SharePoint, Access, and Teams
Establishing major policy and relationships for operations, training, and plans activities.
Perform the duties of the unit knowledge manager and assists the unit Training and Readiness specialist in tracking statistics
Coordinates and oversees the execution of all activities conducted by the Brigade headquarters and subordinate offices.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Position is designated "Mission Essential". In severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- Position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience establishing major policy and relationships for operations, training, and plans activities; individual training; training standardization; developing and implementing plans, orders, and taskings; interpreting various operations objectives and guidance received from higher headquarters; developing policy, plans, and strategy; leading the review of programs, policy, and procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above).
