You will serve as a TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANT of NAVAL WAR COLLEGE.
Duties
You will obtain cost estimates and prepare travel orders for Non-DTS travelers and send the approved order to NAVPTO for reservations and ticketing
You will manage the government travel charge card program
You will use knowledge of Defense Travel System (DTS) to provide travel arrangement assistance
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following r 1) Providing guidance on travel procedures, methods and practices and resolving discrepencies and inconsistencies ensuring compliance with the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR), Financial Management Regulation (FMR), DoD/DoN/OPM and local instructions, policies and directives; 2) Managing Centrally Billed Accounts, Unit Travel Card Accounts, and Individually Billed Accounts and verifying and reconciling itineraries, travel orders, credits, and invoices and researching and resolving discrepencies 3)Reviewing travel orders and applicable regulations to determine entitlements and method of travel; and 4) Providing information to travelers in regards to flight schedules, fares, and per diem allowances.
