This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Investment and Innovation in Washington, D.C. The incumbent will provide financial and regulatory oversight to Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs), as well as provide day-to-day operational services, guidance, and assistance to meet SBA's mission of providing capital to qualified small businesses.
Duties
Supervise staff who perform work that is of a professional nature, is highly technical and complex.
Financial and risk management oversight of business entities including establishing and applying evaluating criteria and metrics to assess risk.
Regulatory compliance oversight of regulated business entities.
Policy review, evaluation, and recommendation.
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen
- You must successfully complete a background investigation.
- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- You may be required to serve a one-year supervisory probationary period.
Qualifications
GS-14: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector that includes:
Leading or managing a diverse team of investment analysts to oversee a portfolio of investment organizations; and
performing financial analysis and evaluation of management structures, operations, and practices of corporate and/or other organizations; and
applying rules, regulations, and policies to various situations of Portfolio Operations. These qualifications must clearly be referenced in your resume,
